I saw this place on Man vs Food on the Travel Channel, so I was really excited to try this Memphis-style BBQ joint in the heart of St. Louis. The food was fantastic – some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Meeting owner Skip Steele was a real treat as well.

I’m watching the Braves get their proverbial hats handed to them by the Cards at the beautiful Busch Stadium in St. Louis. It has been many a year since my last MLB game, but the atmosphere here is perfect – great weather, enthusiastic fans and the Arch rising majestically beyond the outfield.
This shot was composed of 10 separate images and stitched together automatically in AutoStitch. I then edited in TiltShiftGen.
Today I ventured from Atlanta to St. Louis for my next shoot, by way of Dallas. We all complain about the inconvenience of air travel, but sights like this remind me of what a privilege it can be.

Tonight I’m packing up my gear from last week’s marathon edit at ThinkTank Group in the Atlanta bedroom community of Chamblee. The brains behind ThinkTank Group is Ed Maas, a Canadian expat and all around nice guy. He has penchant for decorating the multi-use loft condo that is his office with odd props and found antiques. Here’s a small sampling (all shot on Hipstamatic with the John S lens and Ina’s 1969 film) to demonstrate how much cooler Ed’s office is than my own:
I took a break today from all the editing … By editing. I’m hanging with my documentary biz partner, Kris Wheeler, and working on a sizzle reel for a BBQ-themed reality series. And having a nice, robust vino.

I’m working at the offices of ThinkTank Group in the Chamblee area of Atlanta. The offices are a funky-cool condo in a mixed use building. These stairs lead to Ed’s loft office (which would be a master BR if this were rented as a residence) that overlooks the main living room.
