I’ve purchased two – that’s right, two – new lawnmowers this year. I got a grand total of five mowings out of them. Add those to the four I went through last year, plus the countless repairs to two of those and the sum is one conclusion: I shouldn’t mow my own lawn. Thankfully, there are still college kids with good work ethics out there whom I can hire.

Here’s a screen grab from my iPad that I then ran through Kooleido and finished off with Lo-Mob, using the Photocard One filter. It depicts a snippet of Chapter 21 of my novel, Midlife Mouse, open in Pages. If you can read it, maybe you can decipher a spoiler or two!

I grabbed these of the kids while their respective siblings were taking lessons. On a semi-related note, the new Hipstamatic is a giant FAIL on the iPhone 3G with the previous OS.

I’m not one to have a lot of Crimson Tide paraphernalia around the house. What I do have came out of my late father-in-law’s office. This Big Al sculpture is a perfect example.
