This is a bird bath at my new favorite place. I’ve never been a big fan of concrete Cupids or babies or baby angels or whatever this thing is, but somehow it works in this setting.

I got up way too early to drive to Carrollton, GA in order to move my mother-in-law here. The upside is we saw a beautiful morning over Central and East Alabama.

My 365, Day 264 – Old School

Looking at this scene, you would think it was out in the country… And it was a few decades ago. Now all the country around it has been replaced by corporate parks and strip malls. I love that this stalwart little shop refuses to modernize or go quietly into that good night.
Edited as two photos in Photo FX – one a pencil sketch, the other enhanced and using a pro mist filter. Then I combined them in the brilliant app Iris Photo Suite using overlay mode.
