This is a shot, taken with my Canon 5D mkII of the iPhone’s camera apps screen. I then shot that pic displayed on the 5D.

Strangely, if I had moved my finger, my eye would’ve looked exactly the same.

I was setting up some image looks on my 5D and decided a pic of what it was seeing was sort of interesting.

Though largely forgotten in the wake of the similar phrase, “Eye of the Tiger,” popularized by the Survivor song from the Rocky III soundtrack, “Eye of the Donkey” once epitomized the American spirit. In the pioneering, agrarian culture of the American south and west in the 19th century, donkeys were seen as the apex of utility, function, strength, determination and geniality. If one possessed the Eye of the Donkey, they were made of the stuff of the very American soil, able to conquer the harshest of conditions and vanquish all foes with an amicable humility.

Not really. This is just a donkey that licked my daughter’s toes today.

Today was Cooper’s first tee ball game. He got the game ball, because he was the most improved player over the course of the game. Considering that he stood like a statue at second base the entire first inning while everyone else around him attempted to play the game, being the most improved is a fairly hollow victory. By the third and final inning, he had absorbed enough of what was going on to actually contribute to the game play. And, in the fine tradition of Ingram and Richardson, he took some kid out while running to second.
