My 365, Day 69 – Drip-Drop

Today it has rained… A lot. I could have uploaded the shot of water shooting out through my privacy fence and down into the driveway. Or the shot of the driveway calf-deep in muddy water. Or the shot of the puddles standing in the garage. But I didn’t. I found this more sublime. Drip drop.

My 365, Day 68 – Storm’s a coming

It never actually got stormy, but the light had that weird green tint to it and there were dark clouds on the horizon. Made for a cool pic, though.
Shot in ProCamera, edited in TiltShiftGen.

My 365, Day 67 – Underwater Mushroom Cloud

Today was a very busy day with it’s lowlight being the surrender of Jake the Rescue Dog to the Humane Society. He had shown behavioral tendencies that we didn’t feel competent to handle ourselves. I’m sure he’ll make someone a wonderful pet, and we were priveleged to spend 5 days with him.
This is another [...]

My 365, Day 66 – Spider-Dog

I know this isn’t exactly art photography, but… There’s a 61-pound dog standing on the handrail of our deck!

My 365, Day 65 – Stairway to Heaven

I actually took this shot on my birthday at the Tennessee Aquarium, but it was far more interesting than the shot of a Lego TIE Fighter I had planned to upload today. This is the longest escalator I’ve ever seen. It’s in the River Adventure building and goes up 4 or 5 stories to the [...]

My 365, Day 64 – Dave in a Glass

We’re having dinner at the home of our friends the Eyrichs. This is our host, Dave, as seen through wine and water glasses. Trust me, he’s not that squatty in real life.
Shot in ProCamera, edited in PS Mobile and Camera Bag.

My 365, Day 63 – Diamond

I went with my daughter to softball practice tonight – the first one I’ve made it to this year. After a year away, her skills are lagging behind the other girls. I don’t know if she’ll make up for lost time or not, but she seems to love the game. And that’s enough for me.

My 365, Day 62 – Meet Jake

The big plan for my 40th birthday today was a family trip to the Tennessee Aquarium and then a nice seafood dinner somewhere. The aquarium half of the plan went off without a hitch. Then we headed back toward Birmingham for the dinner rather than staying late in Chattanooga.
We pulled over at a rest [...]

My 365, Day 61 – RC

As I ponder my own mortality (I’m hitting 40 tomorrow), I can so easily recapture the innocence and joy of youth in the eyes of my children. Here, my son studies his LED-bedecked RC car.
Shot with Hipstamatic using the Helga lens and Infrared film. Edited in Camera Bag, using the silver filter.
